Koursely uses a BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys) model for video: you connect your own account with one of three supported providers, and your video assets live in that account — not locked into Koursely's own storage.

Connecting Your Provider

1. Create an account with your chosen provider if you don't already have one.
2. Retrieve your API credentials from that provider's dashboard (for Mux: Token ID and Token Secret; for Bunny: Stream Library ID and API Key; for Gumlet: Video Library ID and API Key).
3. In Koursely, go to Settings → Integrations → Video Hosting.
4. Select your provider and paste in the credentials. Secrets are encrypted at rest and only shown as a masked preview afterward.
5. Upload a test video to a course lesson and confirm it plays back correctly before uploading your full library.

What BYOK Means for Cost

Koursely does not mark up or take a cut of your video hosting bill — you pay your chosen provider directly, at that provider's own rates, based on your actual usage (storage and bandwidth). This is different from platforms that bundle video hosting into a subscription with a hard cap, since your cost scales with usage rather than being capped or overage-charged by the LMS itself.

Can I use a provider that isn't in this list?

Native, credential-based integration currently supports Mux, Bunny.net, and Gumlet specifically. Other providers would need to be embedded manually as an external link rather than through the native upload/streaming flow.
